"I had great years in Munich and won a lot of titles, but I honestly have to say: the offer from Manchester is fantastic, especially as an english national player it is very interesting. AND: You never know wether this opportuity comes again especially in this form.

Especially Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand are really interested that it´ll happen, they told me a player like me is missing in Manchester. The squad there is very strong and it would be a great challenge for me going there.

I am 25 years now and in this 6 years that I am here I learned and experienced a lot. I played over 200 games for Bayern, and they helped me to develop but it´s time for the next step to improve as a player.

I talked to the manager several times. Hoeness does know this offer is an unique situation for me but he also said he wants me to stay. I have a contract till 2010, which makes the situation not that easy.

It´s not just a fantastic offer for me but for the club also. I came here as a youth player for free. Now Manchester is willing to pay a certain sum of money that you don´t see that often in the Bundesliga. Every manager would think about it. Bayern general manager Uli Hoene� has quashed speculation that Owen Hargreaves could be leaving Bayern for the English Premiership, despite the 25-year-old's revelation that he is considering a "fantastic" offer from Manchester United.
